LA KERMES CARNAVAL at Peabody: April 24th: Information about the event: Volunteers and donations needed
What is La Kermes Carnaval? An outdoor party and celebration to benefit a great cause-our incredible school! This is a chance to come together as families and as a Peabody community. PODEMOS invites you to the La Kermes Carnaval at Peabody on Friday, April 24, 2026 from 3:30pm-6:30pm.In order to make this celebration a success, we are hoping for students, staff, parents, family and friends to volunteer and participate.
We encourage high school volunteers and/or Peabody alumni as well(Contact Julie Bolton to have students be approved: julie.bolton@peaodycharter.net)
At La Kermes Carnaval, there will be a variety of local food trucks, beverages, desserts, and games including free field games, live performances by local dance groups, cotton candy, a cake walk, face painting, and photo booth. In addition, the MOXI museum will have a Tessellation project table, and the City of Santa Barbara Fire Department will be here.
We encourage the entire Peabody community to dress in Fiesta attire. There is also salsa competition and the salsa winner gets a prize.
We need lots of volunteers, and hope you and your Peabody family can join us!
We also appreciate your financial help: please send monetary donations of any amount to the office to help underwrite the costs.
All profit goes straight back to the school!
Please sign up to volunteer and donate-and let us know if you have any questions.
There are many ways to help with the event and everything you do helps!
